Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information SkyDBI collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. It covers our website, our client services, and our vendor partner relationships. This page is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice.
1. Who we are
SkyDBI operates a media and data buying desk. We negotiate media placements and license business contact data on behalf of client companies, and we provide go-to-market consulting services. For the purposes of data protection law, SkyDBI acts as a controller for information about our own clients, prospects, and website visitors, and as a processor or joint controller in specific client engagements as set out in the applicable services agreement.
2. Information we collect
- Information you provide. Name, business email address, company, role, and the contents of enquiries you send us.
- Client engagement information. Spend data, vendor contracts, campaign performance data, and other business information shared with us to deliver services.
- Vendor partner information. Contact details, sourcing documentation, and coverage test results supplied by data and tooling providers applying to our partner network.
- Website usage information. Standard server logs and, where applicable, analytics data about pages visited and referring sources.
3. Business contact data we license
As part of our services, SkyDBI licenses business contact data from third-party providers on behalf of clients. That data typically includes business email addresses, business phone numbers, job titles, and employer information. It is business contact information used for business-to-business purposes.
Before a provider joins a client waterfall, we review its stated sourcing method and consent or lawful-basis documentation, and we pass that documentation to clients for their own compliance review. Suppression and do-not-contact lists supplied by clients are applied before delivery. Responsibility for how licensed data is used in a specific campaign and jurisdiction sits with the client as the sending party.
4. How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and provide requested spend comparisons or data samples.
- To deliver contracted services, including buying, licensing, reporting, and consulting.
- To evaluate and manage vendor partner relationships.
- To meet legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.
- To improve our website and service delivery.
5. Lawful bases
The primary frameworks referenced here are the GDPR and the CCPA. Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on performance of a contract for client and vendor relationships, legitimate interests for business-to-business communications and service improvement, and legal obligation where retention or disclosure is required by law. Where consent is the applicable basis, it can be withdrawn at any time.
6. Sharing information
We share information with service providers who support our operations, including hosting, analytics, and communications tools, and with media platforms and data providers to the extent necessary to place buys and license data on a client's behalf. We do not sell personal information about website visitors. We disclose information where legally required.
7. International transfers
SkyDBI operates across 60+ countries, so information may be transferred outside the country where it was collected. Where such transfers involve personal data subject to regional transfer rules, we use appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to deliver services and meet legal, tax, and contractual obligations, then delete or anonymise it. Retention periods for client engagement data are set out in the applicable services agreement.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@skydbi.com. If your request relates to data processed on behalf of a client, we will route it to that client and support their response.
10. Security
We apply administrative and technical controls appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle, including access controls, segregation of client data, and vendor review before onboarding. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
11. Cookies
Our website uses only what is needed to operate the site and, where enabled, basic analytics. Where regional law requires consent for non-essential cookies, that consent is requested before those cookies are set.
12. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
